The Reaper Saw Head 900 is a heavy-duty precision circular saw head built for larger excavators tackling serious hedge management and forestry work. Fitted as standard with a 900mm Fine Cut Hardox 450 blade, it cuts branches and stems up to 450mm diameter with power and precision in a single pass. A 900mm Rough Cut blade is available as an alternative for heavier commercial work. Built for contractors running 10 to 14 tonne excavators who need to get through heavy vegetation quickly, cleanly and safely.

The Reaper Blade Re-Tipping Service — Only Available from McElhill Engineering Every Reaper Saw Head 900 comes with one 900mm Fine Cut Hardox 450 blade included as standard. When the teeth wear down from use, bring the blade back to our Fermanagh workshop rather than replacing it outright. For rough cut blades we weld new teeth back on. For fine cut blades we recut the teeth back into the blade — restoring it to full working condition. Every blade is made from Hardox 450 steel manufactured in our own workshop, which is what gives us the knowledge to restore them properly. Can you re-tip the blades when they wear down?
Yes — and this is something our competitors cannot offer. We manufacture our own blades from Hardox 450 steel in our Fermanagh workshop, which means we have the knowledge and tooling to restore them properly. Rough cut blades get new teeth welded on. Fine cut blades get the teeth recut back into the blade. Bring the worn blade to us rather than buying a new one.
How long is the lead time?
Every Reaper 900 is built to order at our Fermanagh workshop. Lead time is typically 4 to 6 weeks but extends as the season approaches. Order early to secure your build slot and make sure your machine is ready for 1 September.
Do you supply hydraulic pipes?
